Storm Warnings

Here we go again.

We’re under a watch for another round if ice storms tomorrow. Today I met up with the biss to knock out one store after I’d worked my first.

Then I continued on to the next.

Each and every store today had one thing in common.

Fear.

I don’t know why you’d need five loaves of bread for a snow day, but okay. I know some are buying up bread because they except to resell it to others for profit. I think that’s worse than the fear. They are taking advantage of others’ fear.

I know a lot of us aren’t afraid. We’ve walked through the last two years of fifteen days just fineβ€”a little madder, a little wiser. We’ve most definitely had some of our misgivings proven to be true.

The disappointment we have in the people around us is unreal. I never thought I would be this disgusted with a large part of my countries population.

You know the ones, the ones that want to force you to do something you don’t want to do for the greater good. The ones who hide who they truly are, literally and figuratively.

Things seem to be swapping up, though.

We just have to keep pushing through.

Hot But No Fever

I’m a little hot right now and I usually won’t touch politics on this blog, but never say never.

S.C. Governor Henry McMaster dropped the mask mandate for our schools but you have to opt out with this form.

The wording is sort of disturbing to me.

The wording in the second page as to what you agree to and β€œscientific evidence and research studies” is pure bull. There shouldn’t be any form required that needs to be signed to allow you to breathe free.

I can’t sign this in good conscience.

My child is not a political tool.

How can you opt out of something you were forced into in the first place?

Where’s the opt out form for paying county taxes?

You people barely take responsibility for actually teaching my child anything useful or important. You’d rather erase history and teach them that their truth is more important than actual history and facts.

I think I’m going to hold off on this. I’m going to see what the backlash is after a few days.

Just to be clear, I know there is a virus. Yes, it has affected people. Yes, a lot of people have died from it. Yes, the science and actual death toll from this is questionable.

A lot of this is fear and control. And the time for living like this is over.

Faith

I’m not ashamed to say I’m a Christian. I pray every day. I read my bible. I go to church.

I’m scared of few things. But one thing I am scared of is big storms. Lightning terrifies me.

I always say a prayer and ask the Lord to watch over my house and family during storms.

Last night He did just that.

Graveyard wall. Buffalo Baptist Church, Kershaw, SC.

The graveyard wall at my old church here in the neighborhood took a hit. It got busted up pretty bad. There’s more damage than is shown in the picture but that’s not what this is about.

Prayers are answered all the time. It might not be what you want, but it’s always exactly what you need.
