I Won’t Hide

I won’t hide.

I’ve recently dropped a lot of things. Facebook and Facebook messenger have been deleted from my phone. I’m tired of their censorship. They came for a lot of Conservatives very quickly. (Although, I am now seeing that they’re coming for the Left as well.)

Amazon Web Services shut Parler out. No a conservative website but one of free speech. Okay. They can do that I suppose. But I don’t have to give them my money anymore. Amazon Prime/Video isn’t welcome in our home.

I haven’t considered myself a part of the Right for some time. I’ve been pushed to the middle but I don’t consider myself a Libertarian.

I have considered myself a man “without a country” politically speaking for quite some time. Although I have voted conservative. Why? Because the Left keeps pushing more radical people into office.

It’s the first month of 2021. And I literally feel like a man without a country.

We are being destroyed from within.
D. C. is locked down with armed troops. Fences are installed around the Capitol building. I’ve visited there several times and what I’m seeing now is unrecognizable.

We are not America anymore. Not the United States.

This is Newmerica.

I have also being degooglefying my phone (new word?).

Gmail and Google Photos are still there. I have to figure out how to download all my photos. Gmail isn’t a problem. I don’t use email that much, so not that big a deal to me.

I just don’t know where to go. I would rather have a phone that doesn’t connect and be monitored by everyone.

I’m not a paranoid person but I know that things are being used against us in the guise of being helpful.

Yesterday I got in the car and looked at the gas gauge and said out loud, β€œYep. I need gas.” I hit the Apple Maps app on my phone and there were directions to the gas station I use all the time in town.

All I wanted to do was go get a haircut.

That is just strange, that is someone listening. Or some thing, rather.

I’ve been wanting to do a podcast for quite some time.

I did one episode of a podcast with one friend and seven or eight spiders with two other friends. It was a good time but didn’t work at time wise so I’m going at it alone. If there are any of my friends reading or listening to this I’d be glad to have ya. I’d like to have a conversation with several of you.

Like I said, I’m not paranoid. I just…I’m living in a world where if I’m not with you I’m against you.

And that’s not how it is.

I’m with my family and friends. I’m gonna watch out for them. As a Christian I feel for everyone’s problems and plights. But, you can’t save everybody.

That’s just the way the world is.

I’m just trying to make it out here.

That’s it. That’s the post.

So this is the podcast version of this over on Anchor. It’s free and I can put a little something out there while I get my bearings. Don’t have high expectations going in and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Too Far

I’ve been saying for about two years that the givernment, politicians, talking heads, etc. have pushed me firmly to the middle.

Today was too far. I suspect the truth will out and we will find that it wasn’t exactly what it was portrayed as.

It is well passed the time the givernment elite felt the fear of the people in their little black hearts though.

Perhaps this will remind them.

And I’m tired. I’m fed up. I just want to be left to live and I want my family to be safe.

Is this too much to ask?

It would seem so.

That’s it. That’s the post.

I Didn’t Come Here Looking For A Fight

I’m pretty easy going. I go along and get along about a lot of things.

I have, begrudgingly, worn a mask (😷 great there’s an emoji for it now) more than I have wanted.

I work retail and see more people walking in stores without masks than I care to. Maybe it doesn’t do anything, maybe it does. We have to for the time we’re at work.

I don’t say anything to anyone.

Not my circus, not my clowns.

No. The only time I’ll say something to someone is when they’re in my personal space. That has happened more times than I can count without having to take off my shoes or other articles of clothing.

I’m tired.

The mΜΆuΜΆzΜΆzΜΆlΜΆeΜΆ mask makes it hard to speak and be heard properly.

This covers more than one aspect of life.

I didn’t come here looking for a fight but it seems we may have found one. And it isn’t just about this virus. It’s what this virus has been used for.

Some of y’all maybe kinda sorta figured that out.

Taking a break…

Taking a break from the political for a bit.

I’m tired.

I’m mostly tired of people just taking every single little conspiracy theory they come across, or the next shocking picture or article and just running with it.

I’m tired of morons with access to the internet believing every little thing they hear.

I’m tired of people who are pinning all their hopes and dreams on one or two people (that the different sides of government picked) and going straight up fanatical about them.

POTUS isn’t the second coming. I know that. He knows that. I just wish his fans would get it.

Biden is just a tired, old man. This isn’t an insult, I’m a tired old man, too. No, he’s being used and handled. And the people who are doing it should be brought up on charges for elder abuse.

That’s it. That’s the post.

Oregon ACLU sues to stop Portland Police from livestreaming protests | KATU

And here, all this time, they told us the revolution would be televised.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon announced it is suing the Portland Police Bureau to stop them from livestreaming protests. Over the past several weeks, protesters have gathered in Portland, calling for police reform and racial equality. The lawsuit claims that livestreaming protests leaves protesters subject to surveillance by federal law enforcement, and is a violation of ORS 181A. 250. ORS 181A.

Politics, Apocalypse, Watches: Thoughts Over Coffee.

Yesterday was a big day for American politics. The mid-term elections were really something. A lot of people put a lot of money into campaigning for a job where they’d make less money than they spent to get the job. I call that bad economics.

Of course some did it to make it to a higher political office. Perhaps the presidency. If they decide to do this they’ll of course do the same thing all over again.

I don’t know why anyone would want to attain the highest office in the land. Although, I’ll support anyone who does. I took an oath a long time ago and they didn’t mention an expiration date.

So that’s all I got to say about that.

Well, maybe. See there was supposed to be some sort of apocalypse today. Fire, brimstone, the very foundations of our society were shaken, probably, maybe, nah.

We carry on. Those of us who want to and can carry a lot on our shoulders without shifting the burden to others. There. Done.

I upgraded and bought a Series 3 Apple Watch. I had bought the original when I thought I purchased the Series 1.

When Watch iOS 5 came out I was pretty excited about the new features. The problem was that the Apple Watch original series wouldn’t take if you bought the low end (mine) or the $17K Gold original (my number may be off but come on for $17K the thing should take any update and then some).

Anyway, I’m very pleased. I’m a TSL for a national merchandising company and I picked up this model just coming off display, a display that I set up and I knew that the watch was fine, so I got a hefty percentage off.

The battery life is impressive. I’m sitting here with 74% at 20:05 at night. It has been on my wrist since I got up at 5:30 this morning.

Battery life was one of my greatest concerns. The original series would last me through the work day but I would have to charge it after work. No big deal, it would charge while I took a shower and wound down a bit.

Add to this the new features and I’m very happy. Communication is smooth since the wife and I both wear and use these throughout the day. I’ve also noticed better voice recognition in WatchOS 5. Texting without pulling out my phone is a godsend when I need both hands for work. And I have access to a lot of the apps I communicate with my friends through during the day, my timers, weather, etc.

Happy camper.

Oh, here’s the coffee.

As Abraham Lincoln once said, be EXCELLENT to each other.
