Interview
I had a phone interview today Yes, I’m considering changing jobs because right now everyone is looking for good help.
The interview went well, at least on my end of the line. The interviewer was very nice. She made a statement and then said, βYou’ve worked for your current employee seven years? Impressive!β She then continued on and I stopped her.
βWorking seven years for the same employer is impressive?β
βSir, you just don’t know.β
I didn’t realize, but I’ve been in the middle of all these people just quitting jobs left and right. I’m not able to do that. I need a steady gig. I need something solid.
I, of course, don’t have the cushion of mom and dad to fall back on. I don’t trust any help from the state or fed. Neither is reliable enough.
No. I work for what I have. This is something that struck me today.
Loyalty is an odd virtue nowadays.
That’s it. That’s the post.
