Back To Normal-ish

It seems like the further away you are from an event your perspective changes quite a bit. Pain receeds, and you find yourself appreciating things for what they are instead of focusing on the unfortunate event.

Friendship is a thing that is earned and does require a bit of work on both parties’ parts. Sometimes they don’t work out. Sometimes they are lifelong. Sometimes you only get a few precious year’s, and the friendship ends due to tragic circumstances.

IYKYK. Right, Pete?

Focus on the good. That’s all I can say.

You’ll find that friend, even after they’re gone, still makes you smile.

I’m not done grieving the loss of my friend, but I’m starting to get little bits of his goofy humor through the pain. And I think he’s sending this out from where he has gone to trying to tell us to get over ourselves and enjoy life. That was the lesson he imparted to us.

I know he wouldn’t want to bring us down. No, he’d never want that.

Tomorrow is a week since he passed.

That’s it. That’s the post.
