Today has been a good one.

We all got up about 8AM, except for Sam who woke up at 6AM and graciously didn’t wake the rest of us.

We went straight to the serious business at hand, the kids gifts and stockings.

I’ve been on social media here and there and interacted with the regulars. Especially to wish folks Merry Christmas.

Some of the folks I know may be completely alone. It’s good to check in and let them know even in that small way that someone is thinking of them. Others have had a rough go of it today with family members in the hospital and worse. Much worse.

This is supposed to be one of the best days of the year. A day of giving, sharing, goodwill. I’ve seen a lot of that. I’ve been party to a lot of that.

Can’t we just stop the political arguments and fighting for just one day?
