According to Newton, absolute time exists independently of any perceiver and progresses at a consistent pace throughout the universe.

In the Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein determined that time is relative—in other words, the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference.

And then there’s the first thing I thought of today when I read and heard the latest of a long line of absolute crap.

Time is racist. Time. A thing that has no feelings one way or the other about you. Something that has absolutely no emotion or reason.

Time heals all wounds.

Time marches on.

Time is a tool we track ourselves and others with. A very useful tool.

Without time we couldn’t mark important events like birthdays, deaths, anniversaries or other important events in history.

Like now.
