Mandatory Viewing

This is gonna be a quick post about retail.

If you only knew how many times a week someone gets called into work when they’re supposed to be off, and I hear, β€œI’m not even supposed to be here today.”

If you are as cultured and refined as the fine folk who populate the circles I run in, you’ll know what comes to mind when I hear this phrase.

I know very few retail folk that even get the reference, much less that have sat and watched this cinematic masterpiece.

I posted a tweet earlier:

All retail employees should be required to watch Clerks (1994) before they begin their first shift. This should be in each and every employee handbook in the world.

I don’t understand why they haven’t, but I know what I’m getting some folks for Christmas this year.

That’s it. That’s the post.
