Decency

This is a short post tonight. A short rant, maybe?

I live in a small town. People used to have the decency to keep their private lives and thoughts to themselves.

Not anymore.

You can see what everyone thinks because they’re going to post it on social media.

You can see what your sweet little old school teacher thinks and likes.

You can see what your friends and family members like and agree with.

The same goes for local figures in law enforcement and local government.

Teachers.

And preachers.

A lot of people aren’t capable of proper conversation anymore.

The problem with a small town and becoming nasty online is that you’re going to run into people.

Small towns have long memories.

Your name and reputation are as good as gold in a small town.

A lot of folks forget these things.

That’s it. That’s the post.
